Judge Ashley Gholamhosseini Drake was appointed by Chief Magistrate Judge Cassandra Kirk to the Fulton County Magistrate Court bench on May 8, 2020.
Ashley was born in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from Georgia State University with a B.A. in Journalism. Ashley graduated in the top 15 of her class at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and was a member of the moot court team where she competed nationally. She served on the Atlanta’s John Marshall Law Journal where her legislative summary was published in 2011. Ashley also received the CALI Award for Immigration Law and received academic scholarships from Just the Beginning Foundation and the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers Foundation.
Ashley began her legal career as a prosecuting attorney for Georgia’s two most populous counties. As a criminal prosecutor, she gained a significant amount of trial experience and helped thousands of crime victims. Prior to becoming an Associate Attorney for Bader Scott Injury Lawyers, she worked for Bey & Associates, LLC in Atlanta where she represented the injured in a variety of civil matters. She successfully completed the prestigious ATLA Ultimate Trial Advocacy Course: Art of Persuasion at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA and was a featured panelist at the American Association for Justice Women’s Caucus in Denver Colorado.
Ashley is a group leader for her local Georgia Association for Women Lawyers (GAWL) mentoring circle. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Bar Association Women in the Profession Section. Ashley serves on the Technology Committee for the Fulton County Magistrate Court and is co-chair of the Awards Committee for the Georgia Council of Magistrate Court Judges.
Ashley resides in Atlanta with her husband and dog.
