Angela Chadwick has over 20 years of experience providing legal counsel to businesses in a diverse range of industries in both the private and public sectors.  she began her career as a litigator, working as an associate at Troutman Sanders and Arrington & Hollowell.  A musician, she spent several years as an entertainment attorney, advocating for Grammy award-winning recording artists, producers and songwriters at the law firm of Katz Smith & Cohen and later serving as Senior Director of Business and Legal Affairs at Motown Records in New York. Upon returning to Atlanta, she joined the legal department at Verizon (then MCI) as Senior Attorney for Commercial Sales and Emerging Markets.  Prior to her appointment to Fulton County Magistrate Court, Judge Chadwick held several leadership roles at Atlanta Housing Authority, including Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer and Managing General Counsel. She is currently a fair housing consultant, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Fair Housing Assessment and Training LLC.  She is also a subject matter expert and instructor for the National Fair Housing Training Academy.


In 2014, the National Diversity Council honored Judge Chadwick by naming her one of the Most Powerful and Influential Women of Georgia.  She is a member of Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2015.  She is also a member of the Grady Hospital Ambassador Task Force and the Board of Directors of The PIVOT Foundation.


Judge Chadwick earned a BS in business administration from the University of North Carolina, where she was awarded the John Motley Morehead Scholarship, UNC’s most prestigious academic scholarship.  She earned her JD from Harvard Law School and MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
